On Tuesday 3rd Dec 2019, Typhoon Kammuri battered the Philippines with fierce winds and rain. At least 4 people killed and several others were injured. The authorities had taken measures to evacuate thousands of villagers from areas where high waves, flash floods and landslides are likely to occur.
The devastation caused by Kammuri could be seen with trees toppled, electrical posts and ripped off tin roofs. Manila’s international airport has also been shut down.
